Our Story

My name is Alex, and I’m the Founder of Velovaere. We make chamois cream that isn't filled with S*** ingredients.

I'm a retired pro cyclist who consistently logged 20–30 hours in the saddle every week, and I spent years dealing with raw, irritated skin after almost every ride. I absolutely hated slathering on greasy, chemical creams that only worked for a short time. After one particularly brutal ride, I decided to solve this problem myself. I started mixing natural ingredients in my kitchen to create a better anti-chafe cream — no harsh additives, just soothing, pure ingredients. After hundreds of trials, I finally landed on a formula that felt amazing and lasted all day through the toughest rides.

Friends started asking me what I was using, amazed at how well it worked. They loved that it was all-natural and that it outperformed every other product they'd tried. Everyone told me I had to share this with the cycling world — so I did. I named it Velovaere and built the company around that first batch of salve that began as a personal solution.

At Velovaere, the goal is simple: keep riders like us comfortable, naturally. Our anti-chafe cream is made from ingredients I trust —  like shea butter, beeswax, and soothing essential oils — so you get gentle protection without any junk. It was made by a cyclist for cyclists, so you can spend more time enjoying the ride and less time worrying about chafing.
